Car Treasure Hunt and Group Social - Saturday 17th June 2006
Please pencil this one into your diary because it will be a great evening.
Chris Billam is organising the Treasure Hunt and anybody who has taken part in one will know and appreciate how much effort goes into it.
This year the course will last just over an hour and consist of gentle driving round some back roads in the local area with lots of questions to answer as you go along.
You may start from the hut between 1830 and 1900.
On your return there will be food and a group camp fire where Sheila will get everybody to sing!
The Cubs are at Rock City during the day and arrangements can be made for them to be dropped off to meet you at the scout headquarters ready to go.
Cost £3 for 14s and over and £2 for 13 and under

AGM - 24th May 2006 7.00p.m.
A routine Scout Group AGM it certainly was not!
All sections gave fantastic presentations and the grand draw was made. The undoubted highlight of the evening was the totally unexpected presentation of two cheques from local organisations toward the roof appeal.
Mark Branch-Evans gave a cheque for £2000 on behalf of the Hornsea Carnival Committee and as if that wasn't enough Charlie Pearson gave a cheque for a staggering £7000 on behalf of Hornsea Lions.
I think the whole hall went silent for a moment before it dawned on us what had just happened.
Everybody connected with the Scout Group is truly grateful for their generosity.
